ROMAC Personnel Gets First-responder Training

At least 50 employees of ROMAC Services & Training Co., Inc. (ROMAC) have received first-aider training led by the Philippine National Red Cross - Angeles Chapter last November and December 2021.

Red Cross facilitators Charmaine Joy S. Timoteo and Kathleen D. Tocmohan administered the first training at the Romac Training Room on November 6 and 7, 2021. The second batch of trainees were led by Aris Jae L. Lacson and Ryan Peñafort D. Montales on November 20 and 21, 2021. The third batch of training was conducted on December 4 and 5, 2021 and was administered by Camille Nichole Crisostomo and Kathleen D. Tocmohan.

ROMAC Vice President and COO Lorenzo P. Consulta said that training for first-aid is important to the company because these exercises strengthen the capabilities of its personnel on site.

“We make sure that in every project and in every site, we have trained personnel acting as first-responders in case of emergencies,” Consulta said.

He added that ROMAC extends its sincerest gratitude to the PNRC-Angeles Chapter for allocating time and effort in training the selected ROMAC employees.

“Our continued partnership with the Red Cross is indeed valuable. Red Cross is advocating for safety and care in workplaces, and ROMAC understands the rationale behind this advocacy. We want our people to be safe in workplaces and we want them to feel that should there be any incident at all, there are trained personnel who can immediately rescue them or take care of them,” Consulta said.
